Local Business Schema Generator (JSON-LD) for Google
Free LocalBusiness schema generator. Enter your name, address, phone and hours, then copy ready-to-paste JSON-LD that follows Google's guidelines.
Your JSON-LD
Enter your business name to generate the markup.
Only include details that are true and visible on your page. Generated in your browser; nothing is sent to us.
What this generates
The tool builds a LocalBusiness block in JSON-LD, the format Google recommends for structured data. You paste it into your page's HTML. It includes only what you fill in, and leaves out anything you leave blank.
Following Google's documentation, it supports:
- Required: business name and address
- Recommended: page address, telephone, opening hours and price range
- Also handy: a logo or photo, a short description and other profile links (
sameAs)
How to use it
- Pick the most specific type that fits your business. Google advises using the most specific LocalBusiness sub-type available.
- Fill in your details exactly as they appear on your website and Google Business Profile. Consistency matters more than volume.
- Set your opening hours. Days with identical hours are grouped into one entry automatically.
- Copy the markup and paste it into the page's HTML, in the head or body.
- Test the live page with Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator.
Rules the generator follows
- No review or rating markup. Google treats reviews a business controls about itself as ineligible for star results, so the tool does not offer them.
- Only true, visible details. Markup should match what people can see on the page.
- No invented addresses. If you serve customers at their homes and have no public address, don't make one up. The tool warns instead of filling one in.
- Safe output. Characters that could break out of a script tag are escaped.

Frequently asked questions
Which properties does Google require?
For local business markup Google's documentation lists name and address as required. Telephone, url, opening hours and price range are recommended. The generator warns you when the address is missing.
Which page should the markup go on?
Google says you can add it to any page, though it makes most sense on a page about your business, such as the home, contact or a location page. Use one block per real location.
Can I add star ratings or reviews to this markup?
The generator deliberately doesn't. Google's guidelines say pages that use LocalBusiness or Organization markup are ineligible for star review results when the business controls the reviews about itself. Adding rating markup for your own business won't earn stars and can look misleading.
Does schema markup improve my ranking?
Google uses structured data to understand a page and can show richer information in results. It doesn't promise a ranking boost. It works best alongside an accurate Google Business Profile and consistent details across your site.
Is my data stored?
No. The markup is generated in your browser and nothing you type is sent to our servers.
